Integrity Action is looking for an organised, enthusiastic qualified accountant to work as a Finance and Administrative Senior Manager in our small but busy London-based office. You would be working alongside the Chief Executive Officer, a London Finance Assistant and other globally based finance team. The person will be part of the Senior Management Team of the organisation and will be expected to be part of the Audit Committee meetings of the board.


The role will involve management of finances and staff, budget preparation, posting of financial transactions, management reporting, project based finance activities (such as supporting financial audits) as well as general financial and administrative support to all staff.


Responsibilities:


The Finance and Administrative Senior Manager will contribute to the work of Integrity Action by assisting with the implementation and monitoring of all financial programme and operational activities. Based in its office in London, key tasks of this position will include:


· Drafting and reviewing policies and procedures as part of the team in coordination with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and other designated staff.


· Budget preparation and monitoring both for the organisation as a whole and for fundraising proposals


· Preparing cost-benefit analysis for internal projects


· Posting and review of journal entries including performing payment processing and bank reconciliations.


· Preparation of monthly management reports including implementing cash-flow forecasting


· Implementation of reporting deadlines and deliverables


· Supporting the CEO and other finance staff in investigating ad hoc financial queries and supporting programme staff in all financial matters


· Preparation of financial schedules for the annual financial statement audit including converting reports from International Accounting Standards into UK Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in compliance with UK SORP.


· Preparation of financial schedules for project audits.


· Managing the Finance Assistant.


· Managing office administration for the London office.


Qualifications:


· ACA with proven experience of drafting UK charity accounts in compliance with UK SORP requirements.


· A strong understanding of International Accounting Standards (IAS) and the differences between IAS and UK GAAP for Charities.


· Strong technical ability and financial accounting skills


· Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a related field;


· Proven experience in financial management including managing budgets, forecasting and reporting.


· Ability to analyse data efficiently and concisely report findings to management and external stakeholders.


· Ability to work well with people from various regions, cultures and contexts;


· Fluency in English – both written and oral communication;


· Attention to detail


· Motivated and hard working


· Good communication and interpersonal skills;


· Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software (especially MS Excel);


· Available for some travel.


· Fast learner, self-driven, open to new ideas and hardworking

Type of position: 40 hours a week
